First grade teacher, Ms. Stacey Pauk, was named the District's Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Booker Goes To The Wall For His Students
The recent Jump Rope For Heart was an amazing success, having raised nearly $3,400 for the American Heart Association. To celebrate the achievement, students who raised at least $10 got to duct tape Principal Booker to a wall in the gym. Click here to watch a time lapse video of the fun!
40 Minutes of Service Project
At Blades we are beginning an exciting service learning project in conjunction with Project Engage. Since this year is Blades 40th Anniversary, we thought it would be a great opportunity to give back to the community and thank them for their support. Every student, sibling, parent/guardian, and staff member at Blades is challenged with completing at least 40 minutes of service to the Blades community beginning January 28, 2013. This can look like any number of activities (picking up trash, shoveling snow, helping a neighbor/family member with housework, donating time to a local charity, etc…). The ultimate goal is to have every member of the Blades family make an impact somewhere in our community.
