Morning Drop Off Safety at Blades

Blades Family,

I would like to send an important reminder about dropping off students in the morning. In an attempt to avoid students being left unsupervised at school in the morning, students are not allowed to be dropped off before 7:45am. This is due to staff supervision not starting until 7:45am at Blades Elementary.  This is primarily an issue of safety. I always want to make sure that someone is able to supervise students in the morning. This cannot always be guaranteed before 7:45am since staff may be involved with before school meetings and responsibilities.

Please remember that we have a very safe and efficient parent drop off procedure at Blades Parents are directed to follow the parent drop off line in the morning and drop off in the back. Staff are located in the back to help students open doors and enter the building.  It only takes a minute or two. At this point of the year students know the building so they are able to find their classrooms without issue.

With the amount of traffic in the morning, it is very important that students are dropped off in the back to avoid the cars and buses.

Thank you so much for all your help in this matter.

As always, if you have any questions please contact me at 314-467-7301.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jeremy Booker
Principal
