Blades Family,

As we finish up our first week of having 100% of our students on campus, I’d like to thank everyone for their patience during parent drop off in the morning.  Since more families are driving their students to school we’ve seen an increase in vehicles. We open the doors and start drop off at 7:45am and are trying to get all the students in the building as soon as possible.  We will continue to monitor this process to find ways to measure its effectiveness and make changes if needed.

Here are some ways you could help us keep the process running as efficient and safe as possible:

  • Please have your child’s mask on when they exit the vehicle.  It does slow down the process when a Blades staff member needs to help them put it on.  It is an expectation that students already have their mask on when interacting with other staff and students.

  • Please pull up as far as possible in the drop off line so we can get as many cars on the parking lot and off Patterson Rd. to avoid traffic congestion.

  • Having your child exit the vehicle on the building side is not only quicker, but much safer since vehicles will drive around the left side of the line to leave the parking lot.

  • If you are able to arrive on the parking lot around 7:55am that would help with alleviating so many cars waiting.

  • PLEASE make sure that you drive slowly when entering and exiting our parking lot.  We’ve had a number of reports of some families driving too fast.  This is a huge safety concern and we appreciate your help with this matter.
